Flagship device — HemeSense

Hemodynamics, measured from within.

HemeSense is an implantable hemodynamic monitor from bioMEMS LLC — measuring cardiac output continuously from inside the body, so the earliest signs of change are seen as they happen.

The problem

Cardiac output shifts days before symptoms do — but most monitoring systems miss this key windown

In conditions like heart failure, cardiac output begins to decline before a patient feels anything, and well before clinicians are able to observe changes. By the time intervention happens, it is often reactive, and often in the hospital. Measuring cardiac output continuously from inside the body closes that gap, turning a late crisis into an early signal.

HemeSense

A millimeter-scale implant that measures cardiac output continuously from inside the cardiovascular system — wirelessly, without a battery, and without a clinic visit to retrieve it.

Continuous

On-demand sensing

Cardiac Output data captured on-demand rather than at scattered clinic appointments, so trends are visible to clinicians as they form.

Implantable

Measured at the source

Placed where the relevant data is actually obtained, inside the cardiovascular system, instead of inferring it from the outside.

Wireless

Battery-free readout

Wireless telemetry retrieves data without a wired connection or an implanted power source to fail or replace.

Biocompatible

Built to stay

Materials chosen for a device designed to live in the body long-term, with biocompatibility considered from the start.
